A new virtual reality house hunting tool allows military families and other clients to view pictures and videos from any location at their convenience.
The tool has been in use in the real estate industry for a few months now. Local realtor Karole Linton and her clients are very pleased with how smooth the process has been.
Linton uses the virtual tours to bring families realistic views using 360-degree videos that are uploaded on a private portal. Clients receive VR goggles and can watch the videos on their cell phones or computers.
“It has been wonderful,” Linton said. “My clients in Cañon City absolutely loved it. It saved them from having to drive up all the time. I did the tours for them, I downloaded the videos for them. They looked at them. I think they physically came up and looked at maybe three homes.”
Linton said she just closed on her first home using the VR tour, and is looking forward to using it more in 2018.
