COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.– The Colorado Springs Fire Department rescued an injured hiker at Bear Creek Park on Sunday.

CSFD tweeted around 12:00 p.m. that the high angle team responded.

A woman was found slightly off the trail in a steep area, with an injury to a extremity.

The elderly woman was unable to walk out on her own, so fire crews went down to rescue her and got her out on a stretcher.

She was taken to the hospital and is expected to be ok.
