A pedestrian was seriously injured in a crash on South Academy Boulevard Sunday afternoon, according to police.
The crash happened around 3 p.m. on South Academy Boulevard at Pace Drive. Police said a car that was headed southbound hit a pedestrian, then swerved into northbound traffic, hitting several other cars.
The pedestrian sustained serious injuries. There’s no word on whether anyone in the other cars was injured.
South Academy Boulevard was closed for several hours while police investigated the crash.
