61,000 people ride Garden of the Gods shuttle during 2018 pilot program

Local

To lessen traffic in Garden of the Gods, a pilot program was conducted this year to add free shuttles.

It turned out to be a success, with more than 61,000 people riding the free shuttle from May 26 to September 2.

The two 14-passenger vans made stops at the temporary parking lot at Rock Ledge Ranch, at the visitor center, and at the intersection of Gateway Road and Juniper Way Loop.

As for the shuttle next year, the numbers are still being analyzed on whether it’s brought back in 2019.
