The clock is ticking if you’re planning to send holiday gifts to your out-of-town family and friends.

Here are the holiday shipping deadlines to make sure your packages arrive on time:

United States Postal Service 

  • Dec. 14: USPS Retail Ground
  • Dec. 19: First-class Mail 
  • Dec. 20: Priority Mail 
  • Dec. 22: Priority Mail Express

  • 3-Day select: Monday, Dec. 18 (delivery on Friday, Dec. 22) 
  • 2nd Day Air: Wednesday, Dec. 20 (delivery on Friday, Dec. 22) 
  • Next Day Air: Thursday, Dec. 21 (delivery on Friday, Dec. 22)

  • The last day to ship FedEx 2-day service is Dec. 20. 
  • The last day to ship express overnight is Dec. 21. 

FedEx offers delivery by Christmas for items shipped as late as Dec. 23, but the company will charge extra delivery fees.
