Two kids were arrested in connection with a local business burglary Friday night.
It happened around 11:30 p.m. in the area of N. Prospect Street near E. Fillmore Street.
Officers responded to the area to investigate a burglary alarm. At the scene, officers saw two kids inside the fence line trying to break into a business. Both suspects then ran away from the scene. Police say one kid was caught nearby. The other boy forced his way into two nearby homes, telling homeowners he was robbed and needed them to call his parents, according to authorities.
An investigation revealed both kids were together and broke into a building at the unspecified business.
Both kids were arrested on second-degree burglary and first-degree criminal trespass.
