18 vets including Pearl Harbor survivor receive quilts of valor

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - On Monday, the organization Colorado Quilts of Valor presented 18 local veterans hand-made quilts. 

The Quilts of Valor presentation ceremony highlights the service of each veteran and thank each of them for their contribution to national security. 

Veterans who received the quilts on Monday served in multiple eras and wars and represents all branches of service. This year's recipients included Donald Stratton, one of the five survivors of the USS Arizona at Pearl Harbor. 

Quilts of Valor Foundation has awarded over 182,000 quilts made by more than 10,000 quilters nationwide. Learn more here
