COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A project to connect Old Colorado City with Manitou Springs started Monday.
City leaders gathered to celebrate the groundbreaking of the West Avenue Action Plan.
The project aims to improve safety and mobility in a 1.5-mile area known as No Man’s Land between North 31st Street and the U.S. Highway 24 interchange.
Items on the agenda include sidewalks, better lighting and new storm drains.
The project will cost up to $20 million in tax money.
