(PUEBLO, Colo.) — A car vs. pedestrian crash in Pueblo on Thursday, Nov. 10 is being investigated after Pueblo Police say a man was running from police when he was run over.

According to PPD, around 4 p.m. PPD officers were on a “proactive policing call” in the area of East 4th Street and Glendale Avenue, near the Lower East Side. Officers tried to contact a man on a municipal violation, but the man ran and officers chased him.

The man tried to get into a moving car, but was run over by the car in the attempt. He was transported to the hospital for his injuries.

PPD said no arrests have been made. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

The Pueblo Police Department (PPD) has notified the public of an Auto-Pedestrian crash Thursday, Nov. 10.

PPD says there is heavy police presence near East 4th St. and Iola Avenue and is asking the community to avoid the area.

Officers from the traffic unit are on scene investigating. This article will be updated as more information becomes available.
