(SECURITY-WIDEFIELD, Colo.) — The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPSO) said Tactical Support Group activity has ended at the scene of a barricaded suspect in Security-Widefield.

The law enforcement response first began at 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 21 near the 7100 block of Trails End Court, just off Fountain Mesa Road between Fontaine Boulevard and Mesa Ridge Parkway.

EPSO tweeted on Wednesday morning, Feb. 22 at 6:09 a.m. regarding the incident.

“Tactical Support Group activity has ended at this scene. No specific information will be made available regarding what led to last night’s LE activity at this time so as not to compromise our investigation,” wrote EPSO.

UPDATE: TUESDAY 2/21/2023 10:56 p.m.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPSO) said the Tactical Support Group is on the scene of a barricaded suspect near the 7100 block of Trails End Court in Security-Widefield.

EPSO asked the public to stay away from the area to allow law enforcement to respond.

EPSO added that this is an isolated incident.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPSO) is reporting a heavy law enforcement presence in the area of Trails End Court in Security-Widefield.

EPSO posted on Twitter just after 10 p.m. on Tuesday that there was heavy law enforcement activity near the 7100 block of Trails End Court in Security-Widefield, just off Fountain Mesa Road between Fontaine Boulevard and Mesa Ridge Parkway.
