HEALTH ALERT: How to deal with wasps

News

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — You may have noticed an increase in bugs and insects around your home, especially wasps.

Some extermination businesses around town have been flooded with calls for wasp nests.

One business owner we spoke with on Tuesday says the reason behind the increase in wasps this summer is the amount of moisture in the air on the ground.

A common way to treat nests is using a duster which acts as a pesticide.

If properly treated, most nests are gone within one to two days.

As a safety precaution, it’s recommended you don’t try to remove the nest yourself.
