Walker Stapleton stopped by Colorado Springs Friday. The Republican candidate for governor of Colorado spoke at the Antlers Hotel downtown.
Stapleton spoke to the El Paso County Rotary Club, crediting the great work they’ve done for Colorado.
Stapleton said the club has been especially helpful when it comes to providing assistance to families impacted by fires.
Stapleton also put forth his message for what he would do if elected governor.
“My main message is that we need to have a Colorado that all of us want,” Stapleton said. “A Colorado Springs and El Paso County where we can alleviate traffic congestion. We need to have a strong Colorado economy.”
Stapleton said specifically in Colorado Springs he’ll work to bring more jobs and access to economic opportunities to our area, as well as making housing more affordable for future generations.
