Four-legged runners and their humans gathered for the sixth annual Doggie Dash Sunday.
The people and their pups pounded the pavement of the new Santa Fe Regional Trail–running, walking, and wagging for a good cause. Proceeds went to All Breed Rescue & Training.
“The funds go to help community programs that we offer,” Lauren Fox with All Breed Rescue & Training said. “So we offer free training programs for dogs who are adopted from the shelter, specifically as puppies, so that we can prevent having behavior problems later on in life. So it funds programs to help reduce the number of dogs that end up in the shelter to begin with.”
This year’s event had the biggest turnout so far, with about 200 participants.
