Two men have been arrested after a memorial for fallen Denver police officers was vandalized during a protest march against police brutality.
Red paint was splattered on the memorial located outside of the department’s headquarters on Saturday.
The two men are facing criminal mischief charges. They were not identified.
The damage happened during a planned protest march. Some protesters held signs in support of Jessica Hernandez, a teenager who was shot and killed by Denver police last month while she was driving a stolen car that ended up striking a Denver police officer.
