A woman is facing DUI charges after an early morning crash in southern Colorado Springs.
Police said the crash happened around 2:15 a.m. on the MLK Bypass near the Interstate 25 interchange. The car rolled several times, ejecting the passenger. The passenger sustained serious injuries but is expected to survive.
Police said the driver, 31-year-old Shante Jackson of Colorado Springs, was not seriously injured. She is charged with DUI, careless driving resulting in serious bodily injury, and vehicular assault.
The interstate exit was closed for about six hours while police investigated the crash.
