PUEBLO WEST, Colo. — A woman was arrested after she fired several shots into a mobile home while children were asleep inside, according to the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said around 1:10 a.m., they got a call about shots fired in the area of Countryside Drive. They went to investigate, but couldn’t find anything. Then, around 2 a.m., they got a call from a 35-year-old woman who told them her mobile home on Hemlock Drive had been hit by gunfire.
Deputies said three siblings aged 11, 15, and 18 were home alone at the time of the shooting. Several gunshots went through the walls, and at least one bullet fragment landed in the room where two of the children were sleeping.
Deputies learned that earlier in the evening, one of the children had gotten threatening text messages from the suspect, 39-year-old Felicia Alire. Alire had a contentious relationship with the adult victim because they were both dating the same man, according to deputies.
Deputies went to Alire’s home on MacGregor Road and found her asleep in a bedroom. They also found a handgun and several spent shell casings. She was jailed on three counts of attempted homicide.
