Two teens have been arrested in connection with a robbery that injured several people at a southeastern Colorado Springs donut shop in May.

The robbery happened around 3 a.m. May 18 at Amy’s Donuts at Fountain Boulevard and Circle Drive. One victim was injured when a suspect hit him over the head with a handgun, and several responding officers sustained minor injuries while entering through a locked glass door. Police said the suspect’s gun went off when he hit the victim, but no one was hit by the shot.

Police said the next week, a 15-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy were arrested in connection with an unrelated personal robbery. Police searched their homes and found evidence connecting them to the Amy’s Donuts robbery. They were arrested for that robbery on Thursday.
