Two injured in drive-by shooting in southeastern Colorado Springs

Two people were injured in a drive-by shooting in southeastern Colorado Springs early Sunday morning, according to police. 

Police said the shooting happened around 3 a.m. near the intersection of Hancock Expressway and South Circle Drive. Three people were stopped in their car when someone in an SUV pulled up alongside the car and fired multiple shots into it, according to police. Two of the people in the car were hit and sustained minor injuries. 

Police said their investigation is ongoing.
