Two arrested after police spot stolen car in southern Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Two people were arrested after an officer spotted them in a stolen car in southern Colorado Springs early Wednesday morning, according to police.

Police said around 12:30 a.m., an officer saw a stolen car headed southbound on Circle Drive. The officer stopped the car on Verde Drive and told the two occupants to get out. When they both refused, the officer used a less lethal device to get them out of the car, then arrested them. The suspects' names have not yet been released.

Police recovered the car, but they were unable to contact the owner, so they took it to the city impound lot.
