Third suspect arrested in fatal shooting southeast of Colorado Springs

A third person has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting southeast of Colorado Springs earlier this month, according to the sheriff’s office. 

The shooting happened around 11 p.m. October 7 on Tranters Creek Way, which is in the area of Fontaine Boulevard and Marksheffel Road. When deputies arrived, they found the victim, Kenyatta Horne, lying on the sidewalk. 

Deputies said a third suspect, 20-year-old Wayne Sellers, has been arrested in connection with the shooting. Sellers was arrested in Phillips County, which is in northeastern Colorado. He is charged with first-degree murder. 

The two other suspects, Beslim Torres-Valle and Tyler Wheeler, were arrested on first-degree murder charges earlier this month.
