Suspect sought in Denver bank robbery

The Denver Police Department and the FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force are asking anyone with information on a bank robbery in Denver to come forward.

The robbery happened at Academy Bank located at 740 17th Street on Dec. 12, 2017 at 4:45 p.m.

The suspect entered the bank, approached the teller, demanded money, then ran away in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as a white man, 50 to 60-years-old, about 5’11” to 6’2″, weighing over 200 pounds. He had white hair and a white beard and/or facial hair. He was wearing a white long-sleeve shirt, blue jeans, and dark brown boots which authorities say he dropped near the scene.
