A man who is accused of shooting at another man in western Colorado Springs last week has been arrested, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deputies said the shooting happened around 8:15 p.m. May 1 on West Colorado Avenue near the intersection with 30th Street. The suspect fired five or six shots at the victim while he was sitting in his car, according to deputies.
The suspect ran toward Midland Trail, and was last seen entering the lobby of the Travelodge motel at 26th Street and Cimarron Street. Deputies searched the motel, but could not find the suspect.
Deputies identified the suspect as Bradford Coleman, 25. He was arrested Wednesday. He is charged with attempted murder, illegal discharge of a firearm, possession of a weapon by a previous offender, menacing, and reckless endangerment.
