Police have arrested a man who they say broke into a western Colorado Springs home and assaulted the resident early Monday morning.
Police said it happened around 2:40 a.m. at a home on Monument Street, which is in the area of Uintah Street and 19th Street. A 19-year-old man entered the home through an unlocked door, then pulled out a knife and assaulted one of the residents, according to police.
The suspect, 19-year-old David Graves, ran away but was found and arrested a short time later. He is charged with first-degree burglary, second-degree assault, felony menacing, and criminal mischief. Police said Graves was also wanted on several unrelated felony warrants.
