A Pueblo man is facing multiple charges after he tried to kidnap a woman at gunpoint Tuesday evening, according to police.

Police said around 5:30 p.m., they got a call about a home invasion on Lake Avenue. The caller told police she was on the phone with the victim, who was being held by an armed man.

When officers arrived, they spotted the man and woman outside of the home, trying to get into a car. They determined the man, 65-year-old Bryan Mihelich, was holding the woman against her will.

Police said Mihelich was armed with a handgun. He was jailed on charges of felony menacing and attempted first-degree kidnapping.
