The Colorado Springs Police Department is asking for the public’s help with their investigation into the murder of a 17-year-old last week.
According to police, officers responded to a home off Deerfield Hills Road Nov. 5 after getting a report of a shooting.
First responders transported 17-year-old to the hospital where he later died. The El Paso County Coroner’s Office identified the dead teen as Luis Starkey.
Four days later, a 16-year-old boy was arrested and charged with first-degree murder for the death of Starkey. Three days after that a 16-year-old girl was also arrested in the same investigation.
The Colorado Springs Police Department’s Homicide/Assault Unit is seeking assistance in the investigation and is requesting information from anyone who may know anything about the circumstances of Starkey’s death.
