PUEBLO, Colo. — Police are investigating the drowning deaths of two children and a teen at a mobile home park last Monday afternoon.

According to authorities, the victims were two sisters and a babysitter who was believed to have been watching them at the time of the incident. They have been identified as 3-year-old Azucena Gandarilla, 6-year-old Amaya Gandarilla, and 17-year-old Joo Lee.

Authorities said at this point the investigation shows no criminal wrongdoing; they are awaiting the final autopsy report from the coroner.

The investigation aided by a witness account revealed that Lee and the children were heard jumping into the 8-feet deep pool at the Pueblo Grande Village located at 999 Fortino Boulevard.

Police said it wasn’t until a short time later that one of the victims was seen floating on top of the water.

According to authorities, other children were in the pool at the time and an older adult nearby notified staff, who began to try to save the victims until responding officers arrived.
