Police: Man robs store clerk, tries to rob customer at gunpoint


COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Police are looking for the man who robbed a clerk and tried to rob a customer at a store in western Colorado Springs early Monday morning.

Police said the robbery happened around 3 a.m. at a store near the intersection of 21st Street and Cimarron Street. The suspect robbed the clerk at gunpoint, then approached a customer and tried to rob her as well, according to police.

Police said the robber got away with cash and cigarettes.

22-year-old Cameron Lee was arrested in connection to a robbery in the 1800 block of South Nevada Avenue. He is also the suspect in another robbery on 21st Street.
