Police are investigating after several cars were broken into in the University Village area of northern Colorado Springs early Wednesday morning.

Police said the burglaries happened on Shadow Ridge Grove, which is just south of the University Village shopping center. Police said around 1:45 a.m., witnesses saw a car pull into a parking lot and watched three men get out. The men smashed the windshield of a car in the lot, then drove off in it, according to police.

When officers arrived, they found 10 other cars that had been broken into and rummaged through.

No suspects have been arrested.
