One in custody in connection with illegal marijuana grow near Fowler

One person is in custody after Crowley County deputies discovered an illegal marijuana grow near Fowler Wednesday, according to the sheriff’s office. 

Deputies said they executed a search warrant at a home on Highway 96 west of Fowler and found an illegal marijuana grow containing more than 100 plants. The street value of the plants and equipment was estimated at $200,000. 

Deputies said one person was in the home at the time and is now in custody.
