A motorcyclist is facing multiple charges after she impersonated a police officer in eastern Colorado Springs earlier this month, according to police.
Police said between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. May 3, several officers saw someone driving recklessly around eastern Colorado Springs on a motorcycle with red and blue flashing lights. The motorcyclist drove up to several different marked patrol cars, activated the red and blue flashing lights, and then sped away, according to police. Police said the rear license plate was attached to a hinge and was folded up under the back of the motorcycle so officers couldn’t read it.
Police eventually identified the suspect as Jessica Ramsey, 31. She was arrested and charged with vehicular eluding, impersonating a peace officer, illegal use of blue and red lights, reckless driving, and disregarding multiple traffic control signals.
