A man who is accused of stabbing a man in Colorado Springs in August is now facing murder charges for killing another man about three hours later, according to police.
Police said Randol Lillie, 54, was found dead in a yard in the area of East Las Vegas Street and Nevada Avenue around 2:30 a.m. August 31. Until now, police had not identified any suspects.
About three hours before Lillie was found, police had investigated a stabbing at nearby Dorchester Park. They identified the suspect as Jimmy Lee Neill, 28. He was arrested on assault charges on September 1, and has been in jail ever since.
Wednesday, police identified Neill as the suspect in Lillie’s death. He is now charged with second-degree murder.
