COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A man is facing multiple charges after a crash in Colorado Springs Friday night.

Police said the crash happened around 10:15 p.m. at the intersection of Hancock Expressway and Jet Wing Drive. A Ford Taurus was headed southbound on Jet Wing Drive when it ran a red light, hitting a Jeep Wrangler that was headed westbound on Hancock Expressway.

The driver of the Jeep, a 68-year-old woman, was thrown from the vehicle. She was hospitalized with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. A passenger in the Jeep sustained minor injuries.

The driver of the Taurus, 20-year-old Marco Tarrazas, was hospitalized with minor injuries. He was then arrested and charged with vehicular assault, DUI, and other traffic charges.

A passenger in the Taurus had to be extricated. She was hospitalized with minor injuries.
