Man arrested in connection with two car thefts, three car break-ins in Colorado Springs

A man has been arrested in connection with two car thefts and three car break-ins in Colorado Springs, according to police. 

Police said around noon Friday, they were called to the area of Austin Bluffs Parkway and Union Boulevard to investigate a report of an impaired driver. When they arrived, they found the driver, Ben Gerisch-Soghigian, but could not find evidence that he had been driving drunk. 

During their investigation, officers discovered the car Gerisch-Soghigian was driving had been reported stolen in May. They searched the car and found evidence associated with multiple car break-ins, including one that had happened about an hour earlier at a city park.
