A man was arrested after deputies found an illegal marijuana grow on his property in Pueblo West Tuesday, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deputies said they got a tip about a possible illegal grow at a home on Sifford Court. They went to the home and talked to the resident, 32-year-old Daniel Vilallonga, who told them he was growing marijuana plants for medicinal purposes, according to the sheriff’s office. He let deputies see the grow, which was in a detached garage on the property. Deputies counted about 38 plants, which is more than the legal limit of 12 per household.
Vilallonga was arrested on charges of cultivation of marijuana and possession of a weapon by a previous offender. He was booked into the Pueblo County jail.
