A man was arrested after he crashed a stolen car into several other cars while trying to elude officers Sunday morning, according to police.
Police said around 6:30 a.m., an officer spotted a stolen car in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the area of South Circle Drive and Monterey Road. When the officer approached, the driver sped off, hitting several cars in the parking lot.
A short time later, officers found the car abandoned in a driveway off Glacier Drive. They determined the people inside had jumped out of the car while it was moving, and the car had hit two other cars before stopping.
Police found both suspects in the area and arrested them without further incident. Police said the driver, 20-year-old Pablo Gonzales, is charged with traffic and car-theft related charges.
