A man was arrested after bothering customers at a Colorado Springs Starbucks over the weekend, according to police.
Police said on Saturday, they were called to the Starbucks at Centennial Boulevard and Garden of the Gods Road to investigate a report of an attempted child abduction. Officers determined the interaction between the suspect and the child was “odd and inappropriate,” but was not a crime. The officers filed a report about the incident.
Sunday, the officers were called to the Starbucks again. The same man was being aggressive with customers, refusing to leave, and egging his dog to be aggressive, according to police. When officers arrived, the man, 38-year-old Carl Black, was hiding under a blanket in his van. Officers used various measures, including a tow truck, to convince him to come out of the van. He was arrested on charges of trespassing and obstruction.
Police said the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region took the dog for safekeeping.
