A man is facing arson charges after he intentionally set a car on fire in Florissant, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deputies said early Thursday morning, they got a call about a car fire in the driveway of a Florissant home. When they arrived, they determined the fire had been intentionally set.
One of the people living in the home, 50-year-old Louis Eisner, was arrested and charged with felony second-degree arson.
Teller County is under a stage three fire ban, which prohibits all outdoor burning.
The High Chateau Fire, which started June 29, burned 1,423 acres just south of Florissant, forcing thousands of people to evacuate their homes. Deputies said this arrest is not related to that fire.
