A man is facing multiple charges after he robbed a Pueblo Dairy Queen, then returned to the business later that night to try to steal an employee’s car, according to police.
Police said the robbery happened around 9 p.m. Monday at the restaurant on Oakshire Lane. The suspect, who was armed with multiple handguns, got away with cash, according to police. He then tried to steal a car from a woman in the drive thru, but was unsuccessful, according to police.
Then, around 10:50 p.m., the same suspect returned, according to police. This time, he unsuccessfully tried to steal a car from an employee who was leaving the business.
The suspect ran away, but officers found him hiding in the prairie. He was arrested after a short chase.
The suspect, 37-year-old Levi Roberts, is charged with aggravated robbery, attempted robbery, and felony menacing.
