A man is facing charges after he shot at Pueblo police officers and then barricaded himself inside his home Friday afternoon, according to police.
Police said around 2:15 p.m., they got a call about a man standing in the front yard of his home on East Second Street, holding a shotgun. The caller told police he had fired the gun.
When officers arrived, the suspect fired at them, according to police. Two officers returned fire, and the man went inside the home. A short time after the SWAT team arrived, the suspect came outside and was arrested without further incident.
The suspect, 58-year-old Reynaldo Esteves, was taken to jail.
Neither the officers nor Esteves were injured in the incident.
