COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Police responded to a report of a shooting at a 7-Eleven in Colorado Springs Sunday afternoon.
It happened just after 3 p.m. at the store located in the 2900 block of East Fountain Boulevard.
Initial reports indicated a man suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound in the parking lot.
According to authorities, the man left in a car prior to police arriving on scene.
Police found the man later at a local hospital, where he was being treated for a gunshot wound.
The investigation determined it was an accidental shooting.
No arrests were made and police say there is no danger to the community.
