Homemade explosives found in Colorado Springs home

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Homemade explosives were found in a Colorado Springs home Friday morning, according to police.

Detectives with the Regional Explosives Unit found the explosives in a home on Misty Drive, which is in the area of Academy Boulevard and Flintridge Drive. They evacuated the home and notified neighbors before rendering the explosives safe.

Police said there is no danger to the public.
