Homeless convicted felon found with stolen gun, harassing workers


The Colorado Springs Police Department reported that a homeless convicted felon was arrested while in possession of a stolen gun. 

According to Lt. Weber with CSPD, officers responded to reports of several homeless men interfering with workers at a nearby park. 

When officers spoke to the men, one of them reportedly tried to run away. 

Officers were able to detain him and he was identified as Branden Lee Bishop, 35. 

Police report that Bishop had two felony warrants for his arrest and was a convicted felon. A search of Bishop found a stolen handgun in his backpack.
