FOUNTAIN, Colo. — A Fountain teen has been arrested on attempted murder charges after shooting another teen last month, according to the police department.
The shooting happened around 2:20 p.m. November 19 on South Santa Fe Avenue. When officers arrived, they found an 18-year-old man who had been shot once in the head and once in the back. He was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries, but has since been released.
Police identified the suspect as 16-year-old Kevin Rued, who they said knew the victim. Rued was arrested without incident Thursday at a home in the area of Marksheffel Road and Drennan Road. He is charged with attempted murder.
