Update Oct. 27: Colorado Springs police reported that two more victims have been identified by the Crimes Against Children Unit. With the new evidence, detectives applied for and were granted another arrest warrant for Davis.
A former Colorado Springs educator, cheer coach, and security guard has been arrested on charges of sexual assault on a child, according to police.
Police said the suspect, 30-year-old Keean Davis of Colorado Springs, was arrested Tuesday. On Monday, officers received a report that Davis had given narcotics to and sexually assaulted a juvenile victim.
Davis is charged with sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Police said Davis has worked as a paraprofessional educator, a cheer coach, and a security guard at several schools in the Colorado Springs and Denver areas.
District 49 said in a letter to parents that Davis worked as a paraeducator from January 2017 until May 2018 at Sand Creek High School and the Kids’ Corner site at Woodmen Hills Elementary School.
He also worked at several other Colorado Springs-area school districts.
Police said their investigation indicates there may be additional victims. They’re asking for the public’s help identifying any youth who may have had sexual contact with Davis. Anyone with information is asked to call them at 719-444-7000, or call Crime Stoppers at 719-634-STOP (7867).
