SECURITY-WIDEFIELD, Colo. — El Paso County deputies are asking for help to identify two burglary suspects in the Security-Widefield area.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, two men broke into a home in the 6000 block of Passing Sky Drive.

They were caught on a “ring doorbell” video just before 10:00 Thursday morning. About 10 minutes later, the homeowner, who was not home at the time, was alerted to a triggered motion sensor on a back window.

Small electronics, jewelry and sunglasses were taken, according to EPSO.

In recent weeks, the Sheriff’s Office says there have been a substantial number of residential burglaries in the Security and Widefield areas. They seem to happen during daytime hours, with windows being broken out or doors kicked in. In some cases, firearms have been stolen, EPSO says.

The first suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 20’s, 5’7, 170 pounds, short dark hair in a military crew cut, last seen wearing a baggy gray zip up hoodie, dark pants and carrying a black backpack.

The second suspect is described as a Hispanic or light -kinned Black male, 5’9, 170 pounds, last seen wearing a dark colored hat, dark colored jacket, and baggy light gray sweat pants with a drawstring and black sneakers.

If anyone has any information as to the identity or whereabouts of these suspects, please contact Deputy Jessica Bethel, El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, via email at: JessicaBethel@elpasoco.com.
