Air Force major accused of rape of a child

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. — An Air Force major is facing a court martial for rape and sexual abuse of a child, according to the U.S. Air Force Academy.

Maj. Travis Burns is charged with one specification of rape, one specification of rape of a child, and three specifications of sexual abuse of a child.

A court martial for Burns is set to begin Monday. It’s expected to last through November 20.
