An admitted gang member and his girlfriend are facing drug and gun charges after officers pulled them over in eastern Colorado Springs Sunday, according to police.
Police said around 1 p.m. Sunday, officers pulled a car over in the area of Pikes Peak Avenue and Murray Boulevard. The driver, 25-year-old Christopher Moody, was on parole and was a self-admitted member of the 211 Crew, according to police.
Police searched the car and found cocaine, meth, and a pistol. Moody’s girlfriend, 26-year-old Shally Lee, told police she had bought the gun and that it was hers.
Further investigation revealed Lee had bought the gun for Moody, even though she knew he was not allowed to possess a gun.
Moody is charged with possession of narcotics, possession of a weapon by a previous offender, and conspiracy to commit unlawful purchase of firearms. Lee is charged with unlawful purchase of firearms and conspiracy to commit unlawful purchase of firearms.
