The Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office has seized dozens of marijuana plants and arrested one man after discovering an illegal grow Monday.
According to investigators, deputies went to a home in eastern Pueblo County, off Cortner Road, after receiving a tip about a possible illegal grow. During an initial sweep of the property more than the legal limited of 12 plants were discovered.
Officers left the property to seek a search warrant.
A search warrant was granted and deputies returned to the property and found 63 mature plants growing in a fenced area of the property. The plants have an estimated street value of $189,000.
Deputies arrested the occupant of the home, Cleveland Lane Canida for the cultivation of marijuana (30 or more plants). He was booked into Pueblo County Jail.
