COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Two Colorado Springs police officers were injured while arresting a man violating his protection order, Monday evening.
According to police, officers responded to a home along Prospect Street, near Patty Jewett Municipal Golf Course, for reports that a woman believed her son was in her home. The son, Buddy Cardenas, was ordered to have zero contact with his mother.
Officers arrived at the home and searched the residence. Inside they found Cardenas and a fracas ensued. Both officers were injured.
Cardenas was taken into custody and both officers were treated for their injures.
