1 arrested in connection with shooting near Starbucks off S. Nevada Avenue

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Police have located three possible suspects in connection with a shooting in Colorado Springs Friday afternoon.

According to authorities, the victim walked into a nearby Starbucks in the 1400 block of S. Nevada Avenue to ask for help. He had a gunshot wound to his lower abdomen, according to police.

He was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

An arrest warrant was issued for 30-year-old suspect Corky Lee Oliver who was positively identified through witness statements.

Police say Oliver was one of the three suspects initially detained by the responding patrol officers.

The investigation is ongoing.
